This looks kinda fun. Part pet shop, part Trauma Centre. I’ve always been a sucker for pet-related TM games, but I’m not sure I want to trust virtual animals’ lives to my mouse control…

What’s with calling it a “GameHouse Original Story” ? Are Gamehouse trying to set up a joint universe for their games, like all the Diner Dash spin-offs had? Going by the trailer and the description, Dr Cares is in the same universe as Heart’s Medicine, Delicious and Fabulous. I think Mary Le Chef too? Any others?

    • That’s right, all the games you already mentioned are in the same style. Probably after the big success Delicious had, they had to come up with more ideas for similar games with same gameplay but different stories.
If you play it, you’ll see Emily from Delicious there too as a guest. As we saw her also in Fabulous and Mary le chef..
Allthough it’s a funny game which I personally enjoy more than the HOG ones (I’m more of an adventure gamer).
Hope you’ll enjoy it if you decide to play it.

Some modern HOGs have so few HOS in them that I think they’re trying to *be* ultra simple adventure games!

Actually, a little while ago I was playing a HOG (Deadtime Stories) and was shocked to see Jane Jensen in the credits. I remember her from her old adventure games, like Laura Bow and Gabriel Knight. When the adventure game market was in a slump, she must have moved across to casual games.
